For a tax-deductible contribution of $100 or more, NYRP will plant a tree in your name in one of our community gardens or one of the parks we help care for. We’ll also send you a handsome commemorative certificate, suitable for framing, to express our gratitude.
Over the years, your tree will grow and flourish, under the tender and talented care of NYRP’s horticulturist, AmeriCorps crew members, and volunteers. Not only will your tree beautify our city, but it will also – like every urban tree – improve our environment in multiple ways:
* Reduce air pollution
* Fight global warming and the greenhouse effect .
* Conserve water and reduce soil erosion
* Save energy by cooling outdoor temperatures
* Promote civic and neighborhood pride
* Reduce noise pollution and create wildlife and plant diversity
* Improve property values … and much more …
And then Bette said this:
“Every moment of every day, trees breathe life and instill beauty
and calm in our City. They are among our greatest collective gifts in this
concrete jungle. Please join NYRP in celebrating Arbor Day 2003 by donating a
new tree to New York City’s urban forest.”
