Mister D: This is the last I’m going to write about this, but I just have to say a few things. First, I got a couple of letters thinking that I wrote the Cindy Adams column….puh-leeze!!! I don’t regret posting it though, because I’m glad people were able to see what a nasty, vindictive person she really is. I’ve always felt that since I saw her as a regular on the old Geraldo show…she dissed Bette concerning the Geraldo issue, and she basically called into question Miss M’s integrity when it came to the Martha Raye case. And from a printed report, at least, pre 9-11, I don’t think Bette was particularly fond of her either. (IMO) In general, her demeaner always is that she is “above it all”…and I have a general aversion to that type of person anyway…
Second, and last: I’ve read both the production notes in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter…also going thru back issues…and I’ve never, ever seen it as being listed to film in Canada in the first place….other places I visted also listed the same places…which were parts of Connecticut and New York…Okay, now they’ve decided on only New York…which is great…
But I don’t know where or why all this press is coming in about Canada…unless it’s just to induce interest in the movie or get some press… I don’t know. Maybe “insiders” knew it was going to be filmed at one time in Canada, but I never saw it in the trades…
I do know. lately, that Ms. Adams has been going on a tirade against many things and places…maybe she needs to vent, but not at the expense of other people. If she disapproves of some government, then she ought to write a letter and quit generalizing against whole countries…
That’s it….
Love, Mister D
P.S. It was good to see today that people had written letters to the Post complaining about her article, too.
