As many of you know, I have been struggling trying to keep Bootleg Betty going in the way she was meant to be…top of the line and informative to fun and whimsical. However, this takes quite a bit of work. I have many dreams of my own that I would still like to pursue, and running this website interferes in too many ways. And with me it usually is “all or nothing”…
With the oncoming media assault of a new CD, a new tour, and a new movie there will be plenty of info out there for everybody to find on their own with little to no trouble. Maybe when Ms. M goes back into hiding, Bootleg Betty will rear her head again…But for now the lady needs a break.
I thank all of you who have visited and returned on a regular basis to Bootleg Betty…it has been exceptionally fun for me and has taught me quite a bit about websites and html. Now I have even more respect for those that have kept their pages going for years. I’m especially proud of Bootleg Betty because in less than a year I have had over 100, 000 visitors….if I had kept her open during the windfall of the next year it would have been astronomical. However, I’m looking forward to being just a fan again…
I know there are the gossip mongers out there that will come up with their own scenarios, but the truth is my ass is pooped and it has become less about fun and more of a competition among me and myself. But those of you that like to make things sexier, go for it…
I do have to say the best thing about this whole experience has been the friends I have made…it’s been incredible and I hope to build on that even though the site will be stagnant…All of the material will be floating around the web until it slowly disappears into the ether…so enjoy what you find…
