Bette Midler: “She possessed one of the great American voices of the last

Midler and former musical director Barry Manilow reunited to create Midler’s newest album, “Bette Midler Sings The Rosemary Clooney Songbook.” When asked about the new project with an old friend, Manilow said, “We had a ball, just like the old days! Better than the old days! I’m so thankful that she agreed to do it.” Fans of fine music should rush to their record stores on Tuesday, September 30, when “Songbook” goes on sale. Midler, Manilow and Clooney make a heck of a team.
