I have opened up 2 stores just for the heck of it….one Bette-related and one Me-related…yes I am a Diva, too….
The first store is : Mister D’s Bootleg Betty On-line Store!
All proceeds will benefit Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project. Just Booltleg Betty logo stuff…no pics, but maybe the Miro Bros. will help me out with some originals for next year…or maybe this year…who wouldn’t want a Bootleg Betty Thong!:

The other store is mine: Mister D’s On-line Store with my little logo that many of you have come to love and adore. Any proceeds will go to further my….uh, talent!:-) If this company had sold dart boards, I’m sure they’d be a hit with that elusive, exclusive club:

On the Bruce Vilanch front….he is debuting his big hair in Cincinatti tonight…so all you Ohio-ans….check it out…I also have a great interview the Post did on him on his website…We Got Bruce!:

Mr. Vukovich, Bruce’s musical director for “Hairspray” informed me that when the musical hits Chicago in February he is planning a benefit that will
include the “Hairspray” cast.
“Bruce is going to be the emcee. It will be 2 shows on the evening of February 9th. The show will feature the music of Marc Shaiman. Marc is the composer of Hairspray. Marc will also be performing in the benefit. It’s going to take place in a small intimate cabaret club in Chicago…it’s a benefit for two homes in the Chicago area that house people who are homeless and are also afflicted with HIV/AIDS. The homes are named The Bonaventure House and The Harbor.”
As soon as there is more info, I’ll tell those who’d like to attend how to get tickets. It should be a wonderful night and for such a good cause…
Back on the Bette Front:
Jude is holding his 5th Annual Happy Birthday BETTE! Membership Drive & Fundraiser for NYRP – 2003…check it out here: http://www.judesjoint.cjb.net
It’s for a good cause…Bette’s passion….NYC Trash, Clean-Up that is….so what a great way to say Happy Birthday to her….just go to the page and follow the directions.
And Brian has opened up his new site at: http://www.bettelyrics.com complete with a new look and a new place to congregate if the “official” club or group is not your cup of tea. Try it out: The Bette Midler Society
This was a helluva long post…but some great information….
Until we meet again,
The Divine Mister D
