LADIES WHO LUNCH: Two wealthy women who prefer to remain anonymous bid $22,000 at the New York Marriott Marquis the other night to have lunch at the ’21’ wine cellar sometime soon with Bette Midler and the Harpies – namely, Barbara Walters, Liz Smith, Lisa Caputo, Beth Kseniak and a few others in the women’s club that regularly chews the fat with a special lunch guest.
The two winners – who were bidding against each other until auctioneer Jamie Niven suggested they combine resources – are supporting Midler’s New York Restoration Project.
