Westlife secure 14th number one in UK
Boyband Westlife have secured their 14th number one single in the UK, with a version of the Bette Midler classic ‘The Rose’.
The group is now ranked joint-third, alongside Cliff Richard, in the list of artists with the most number one singles in the UK, behind the Beatles and Elvis Presley.
According to their record label, Westlife have now sold 35 million records worldwide since their 1999 debut.
Their new album, entitled ‘The Love Album’, is due to be released on 20 November.
