I vote for Bette Midler. She is brassy, bawdy but also a fine singer. Bette would be able to show the singers how to have confidence with humor. – Bea
I completely agree…the Divine Miss M would actually make me tune into the show again. The problem with people like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston is that while they have extensive catalogues, I can’t see them being good judges, and besides, their songs are already played to death on the show, aren’t they? Bette would have the attitude and chops to be a great judge. –LindsayLou
