Not Bette-Related

Mister D:

I will be in New York from April 16 to the 19th….any good plays/musicals/cabaret shows I should see. I’ll be with my mother, so consider that, too, please! 🙂 Although I can ditch her…I run faster.

Love, Mister D

  1. Mr. D…
    Hairspray great
Jersey Boys heard it was good
    Legally Blonde cute
    Wicked another great one
Young Frankenstein heard is was good too
Chorus Line okay but just didn’t have something that the original had

  2. Thank you….I forgot about Wicked….seen Hairspray and every time I walk out singing….LOL

    Thank you!

    Don

  3. Thanks Jacob and Sabrina: those seem like 2 good ones…I’ll probably check both out…

Manny!!!! Bette is on hiatus until June!!!! LOL

  4. WICKED, seriously the best thing i have ever seen… EVER.

also, the color purple is amazing. legally blonde is really cute and fun. xanadu the musical is GREAT (and i have a friend who is in that one!). hairspray also great. spring awakening, brilliant. ok, you won’t be able to see that many… but they are all so good!! go to the tkts booth on 7th and see which shows are on sale that day… that kinda makes your decisions a bit easier.

  5. You definetly want to see Young Frankenstien and Curtains. Best two shows on Broadway right now, I promise.

  6. What a coincidence. We just took the family to NYC for a weekend getaway and you know me…it’s all about the food (and drink).
If you’re looking for Italian (and for those of us who actually ARE Italian – who wouldn’t want Italian food??!) we ate at Tony DiNapoli @ 147 W 43rd Street – YUMMY. The food was deee-LISH and is served family style and they’ve got a lovely wine list 😉
If you’re looking for a good steakhouse, try the Heartland Chophouse @ 127 W 43rd st (2 doors over from Tony’s).
They have a great variety of brews and the steaks are also dee-LISH.
For breakfast or lunch, you gotta go to Alice’s Tea Cup at 102 W 73rd St. A great little tea house with the most amazing scones you will ever sink your teeth into.
You can’t go wrong with any Broadway play. My all time fav is Chicago but if you haven’t seen Wicked – you’ve GOTTA see it.
