Vanity Fair: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Talk “Bette”

Mister D: BetteHead Andy sent this in. What a great compliment to Bette and the other ladies involved. And it’s so true.

Taken from an article in Vanity Fair about “Women In Comedy”:

” There have not been many successful ones ( female buddy comedies) since Bette Midler and Shelley Long starred in OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE in 1987.”

And then ” (Amy) Poehler speaks wistfully of the days-20 years ago-when “Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler could open a movie.””
