For those who refuse to believe it, I have gotten confirmation that Bette will be performing before Her Madge, The Queen. on December 7th. At this time, Bette is to perform two songs. However, she hasn’t decided what to sing yet.
Also spotted was Doris Roberts of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” talking politics at Rao’s (Caesars Palace) with Ed Henry, CNN’s senior White House correspondent. Roberts, who had just attended Bette Midler’s show, remarked, “I played her mom in ‘The Rose‘ 30 years ago.” Roberts is still going strong. She’s in three movies that are out or in the process of being released.
Don’t forget to send in your donations to the BLB Happy Birthday Bette Fundraiser For NYRP. We surely don’t want to present her with an empty box which is exactly what we have right now, except for my donation and one other, and that’s embarrassing, considering how many people sent in emails (close to 2000) last year that were presented to her. Even if everybody gave 5.00 that would be awesome. If you can give more, then it would be “awsomener” So please give. I’m going to do my best to donate to Bette’s birthday fundraiser somewhere around November 4, and I was wondering if it would be possible and OK to donate online, and to post a card to Bette. Donating online is easier for me being in Australia, although I would love to write a special personal message for Bette as well.
Yes, that’s what I’m doing. I did a credit card online and then sent a card and told her how much I donated and some other stuff. Just remember when you do the credit card thingie to write Happy Birthday Bette-BLB so it gets counted with the right group. Also make sure to put the same thing on the outside of the card so it goes in the memory box being presented to her….
