The results are in and “Carnegie Hall” won by a land slide. Great choice! To those of you who voted for this infamous show you’ll be pleased to find a recording below in the jukebox from the opening of the concert. Whether it lives up to all the hype it’s been given over the years will be up to you, but it was certainly a night that changed the careers of both Bette Midler and Barry Manilow. We sincerely hope you enjoy hearing this very special gem.

For everybody else who voted for other venues, you’ll be just as pleased to find recordings from all those shows in the jukebox as well. We didn’t want to disappoint anybody, and as they say, “the more the merrier.” But please do keep in mind that most of these recordings were made by audience members, therefore the quality will not always be top notch. However, we’ve fixed them up to the best of our abilities, and we hope you enjoy listening to these remarkable performances. And as a special exclusive bonus, we also have the privilege of presenting a rare song that Bette wrote in 1975 with Moogy Klingman for her Songs For The New Depression album called “Oh Jerusalem.” Bette wrote the lyrics and Moogy wrote the music. Bette’s recording has never been released, but Moogy was gracious to share a recording he produced later with singer Kathy Ingraham in 1977. Moogy is featured on piano and Ralph Schuckett is doing the orchestra arrangement. This is a very special glimpse into Bette’s early songwriting endeavors.
