Bette Midler Gives Show

CLEVELAND – The show went on for singer Bette Midler but instead of performing before some 3.128 fans at the sold-out Front Row Theater, she sang for some 20 to 30 persons in the lounge of a suburban Cleveland motel.
Miss Midler had her Thursday and Friday performances cancelled because of the fierce blizzard that immobilized Ohio and was stuck at the Hospitality Inn East along with a number of other palrons.
“lt was late in the evening and there were only 20 or 30 people around but we sure enjoyed it.” said’ a motel empiojee. describing Miss Midler’s impromptu Thursday night periormance.
