An electronic cigarette company, South Beach Smoke, will be donating 5% of the proceeds from their Memorial Day offer to the United Service Organization (USO). Electronic cigarettes are hand-held electronic devices that contain reusable batteries and disposable cartridges. South Beach Smoke’s e-cigarettes flash vaporize a liquid nicotine solution producing vapor instead of smoke. Each cartridge is equivalent to one-and-a-half packs of traditional cigarettes.

An electronic cigarette company, South Beach Smoke, will be donating 5% of the proceeds from their Memorial Day offer to the United Service Organization (USO). Electronic cigarette starter kits are hand-held electronic devices that contain reusable batteries and disposable cartridges. South Beach Smoke’s e-cigarettes flash vaporize a liquid nicotine solution producing vapor instead of smoke. Each cartridge is equivalent to one-and-a-half packs of traditional cigarettes.
South Beach Smoke recently announced a cartridge sale for Memorial Day which provides 50% off the regular price of cartridges but with 5% of proceeds from this offer going to the USO to support active troops. The company commented on this sale by stating, “We thought it was appropriate to donate part of the proceeds of our Memorial Day sale to active troops as a way of saying thank you to our brave servicemen and women at home and overseas”. South Beach Smoke sent out an e-mail to all their customers today with a coupon code that would allow them to purchase e-cigarette cartridges at 50% off the regular price. The coupon code was aptly named “HONOR” and must be placed in the coupon code section at checkout to receive the 50% discount.
The company contacted the USO prior to creating the promotion to become members of TEAM USO, an organization that brings USO fundraisers together and provides them with the tools they need to donate. According to the TEAM USO website, “TEAM USO is made up of all kinds of individuals who share the common interest in supporting our troops and their families…until everyone comes home”.
The United Service Organizations is a private non-profit organization that provides recreational services to active members of the military. The organization is best known for its USO Camp Shows which brought entertainers like Bob Hope and Bette Midler and more recently Stephen Colbert and Gary Sinise. According to the USO website, “The USO makes sure your help goes to those who need it the most: troops serving in combat, their families, our wounded warriors and their families, and families of the fallen”.
South Beach Smoke hopes this offer appeals not only to existing customers but also those looking to make the switch to e-cigarettes. They stated, “We think new customers should take advantage of this offer by getting electronic cigarette starter kits – and stocking up on cartridges ”“ all while contributing to our American heroes and their families”.
