Obama rakes in money from Hollywood

President Barack Obama isn’t hurting for big checks from Hollywood.
The Obama Victory Fund, the joint committee of the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee, listed several donations from A-list actors in its latest campaign finance report filed Tuesday.
The committee’s February haul included $35,800 from actor George Clooney, $71,600 from Jim Belushi (double the allowed amount), $30,800 from Will Ferrell, $10,000 from Bette Midler, and $1,000 from Mila Kunis.
Top designers also ponied up for the Democratic cause, including a $30,800 donation from Michael Kors and $28,300 from Tory Burch.
The committee received $30,800 from Jeffrey Soros, a Los Angeles film producer and the nephew of Democratic megadonor George Soros. Jeffrey’s wife, Catharine, also donated $30,800. And Stephen Bing, CEO of Shangri-La Entertainment, donated $3,700.
Craigslist founder Craig Newmark also donated $10,000 to the committee last month.
