And it’s back to the drawing boards for “The Polish Nightingale,” which Bette Midler was supposed to have started this fall. United Artists has decided the script for the feature wasn’t as good as it should have been and is having it redone.
It’s now expected that “Nightingale” won’t be ready for the cameras until next spring – at least. By which time Ms. Midler may well have committed herself to other things.
