1. Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971)

Angela Lansbury stars in this 1971 film about a witch, three children, and a con man who venture on a quest using a magical bed as their transportation. Their goal is to find a spell to assist Britain in the fight against the Nazis. Did I mention it’s a musical?

2. The Witches of Eastwick (1987)

Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer play three women who, unaware of their own power, summon their version of the perfect man. Unfortunately, this man, portrayed by Jack Nicholson, ends up being the devil.

3. Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989)

A young witch, out on her own for the very first time, takes a job as a delivery person in exchange for a place to live. With a little help from her new friends, she learns to have confidence in herself and finds purpose.

4. The Craft (1996)

A new girl at a Catholic high school befriends three girls who practice witchcraft. They learn that together they possess powers that can make their wildest dreams come true, until one of them takes everything too far.

5. The Witches (1990)

This movie, based on the book of the same name by Roald Dahl, tells the story of a young boy who accidentally stumbles upon a convention of witches. Unfortunately, these witches want nothing more than to turn all of the world’s children into mice.

6. Practical Magic (1998)

Two witches, played by Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, were born into a family with a curse. Every man who falls in love with a woman in their family will face an untimely death. When one realizes that time is approaching for the man she loves, the sisters come together with their aunts to fight the forces of darkness and find a way to break the curse.

7. The Crucible (1996)

This fictionalized account of the Salem Witch Trials was written by Arthur Miller and adapted from his play. It follows a group of people living in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 who are involved in a witch hunt when some of their girls are found practicing what the community considers witchcraft.

8. The Wizard of Oz (1939)

This classic film depicts a young Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale from Kansas, who gets swept up in a tornado and deposited into the magical land of Oz. Under guidance from Glinda the Good Witch, and with assistance from her newfound friends, Dorothy makes her way to the mythical Wizard of Oz who tells her that in order to return home she must face the Wicked Witch of the West.

9. Suspiria (1977)

A newcomer to a prestigious ballet academy in Germany starts to get suspicious after a serious of murders and other odd occurrences happen. She soon learns that the academy is a front for a coven of witches.

10. Hocus Pocus (1993)

Possibly the best movie about witches ever made, Hocus Pocus centers on a skeptical teenager who accidentally brings back three witches who have been dead for 300 years. Aided by his sister, a pretty girl, and a talking cat, Max tries to track them down and destroy them before they can kill all of the children in Salem and gain immortality.
