  1. Absolutely amazing! I love hearing Bette for the first time, even after 40 some years. She nailed it…..perfectly!! Closing my eyes, and just listening to the song, I would think that it was recorded in the 1920’s. She’s Ella, Mae West and more, capturing all the nuances in every phrase. What a treat. Thanks, Mister D, for finding this one. This is one of the most straight-forward versions of a classic that I’ve ever heard Bette sing (as in, ‘no camp’), which truly focuses on her incredible vocal abilities, and talents. A ‘wow” moment, IMHO.

    1. I found this on Bette Midler Fansite so i bootlegged their bootleg since they don’t like me. It was the only way to share it. So fuck’em if they can’t take a joke. My site was named appropriately at least…xx

  2. Why the scenery has a recycling symbol in it?! It was too early for the kind of thing.

Guys, a minor question: Did Miss M ever have a nose job?

  3. I’d say yes. Miss M’s face nowadays is prettier and softer than in the beginning of her career and it can’t be only the power of makeup.
