I’m writing to thank you for your tremendous support in helping the New York Restoration Project reach our goal of planting ONE Million Trees for the City of New York. We accomplished this two years ahead of schedule working with our partner in MillionTreesNYC, the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. WE DID IT!

On Friday November 20, 2015 the ceremonial one millionth tree will be planted at Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx. No other city has reached this goal. On behalf of the Board of New York Restoration Project, the staff, and countless volunteers, thank you. Your generous contribution helped us achieve this record breaking endeavor.

In your honor, and to celebrate this milestone, the Empire State Building will be bathed in forest green to celebrate your generosity and commitment to ensuring that all New Yorkers have access to beautiful, open green space wherever in the city they live. This Friday night, be sure to snap a photo, send to your friends, and share it with us on social media as we celebrate YOU and your kind support.

Thank you,

Bette Midler
