U.S. troops in Bosnia didn’t get their celebrity Valentines. Bette Midler, Steve Martin, Red Skelton and Roseanne were among 28 personalities who sketched Valentine drawings with messages of love for the 20,000 servicemen and women. They were assembled onto posters, and 20,000 of them were produced for shipment. Because of red tape, they didn’t make it.
