Hey there! Here’s my first Retrowave / Synthwave / Whateverwave old things remix of « I put a spell on you ». I did not really introduce myself yet on all social media so I will do it shortly now. Yeah, I produce beats and the purpose is to propose my stuff to whoever would like to work with it. But also, I make music for myself and I want to share it with you. I’m eclectic, I like a lot of different vibes and for some months I’ve been working on Retrowave / Synthwave / Retromovie sounds and I’ve decided to release an EP (really soon !). So I did this remix last week and I had some fun: I know that it can sound weird haha. Why I chose this music from Jay Hawkins? Because this original track is amazingly organic and I like the story of it, because when I was a child I loved the Bette Midler’s vocal arrangement from the movie « Hocus Pocus », also several top artists covered it including Marilyn Manson, David Gilmour, Iggy Pop, and many more….Nina Simone of course.
