Ronee Blakley wrote the above song. She became famous when she joined the cascade of stars in the legendary movie, Nashville in 1975. It’s an American satirical musical ensemble comedy-drama film directed by Robert Altman. It brings 26 characters together for a very American movie. Supposedly, Bette turned down the part which was my favorite character, played by Barbara Harris before I even knew Bette was offered the the role. The movie went on to rake in all the awards. Weird. There were reports of lots of people walking out. I thought it was out of boredom, but now i think it might have been over politics. This movie is considered a masterpiece and director, Robert Altman, became my favorite director.
