Theresa Hale of East Alton likes Alice Cooper, the cult hero of the rock and rouge set.
She thinks it is terrible that our review of Bette Midler compared “a crummy singer” like Miss Midler to “ a great theatrical artist like Alice Cooper.”
If you haven’t heard, Alice Cooper is a young m an who uses snakes, dead animals and a guillotine in his act. Now and then he tries to sing
and gets $70,000 a concert for his act.
It is, however, easy to compare Alice Cooper and Bette Midler. They use the same brand of mascara.
