I’ve been to Rome and to Paris
I’ve been to India too
I’ve been out west
And to Budapest
But here’s a confession for you
I’ve never been to Flushing
Despite what you might have heard
And yet my very own heart leaps up
At the very sound of the word
Flushing, Flushing, Flushing
I’ve never been to Flushing
They tell me that it’s in Queens
But the only thing I know about Queens
Has nothing to do with
Flushing, Flushing, Flushing
