The Thorn (1973)

Wretched camp version of the Gospels that had a brief release years after it was made and after Midler had become something of a star. The actors are just plain bad, and Midler sings a little. Her fans stood outside one New York theater where this garbage was showing and handed out statements from Bette disclaiming her role in this movie and admitting the film was "dreadful."
