New York Theater Guide ‘Beaches’ musical completes Broadway cast By Gillian Russo Feb. 17, 2026
The gang’s all here! Beaches on Broadway has completed the cast for its limited NYC engagement at the Majestic Theatre, which begins March 27 ahead of an April 22 opening and runs through September 6.
Joining the previously announced Jessica Vosk as Cee Cee, Kelli Barrett as Bertie, Ben Jacoby as Michael Barron and others, and Brent Thiessen as John Perry and others are Samantha Schwartz as Little Cee Cee and Zeya Grace as Little Bertie.
The cast also includes Sarah Bockel, Harper Burns, Eric Coles, Taylor Sage Evans, Mia Gerachis, Joelle Gully, Stephanie Martignetti, Emma Ogea, Olive Ross-Kline, Bailey Ryon, Paul Adam Schaefer, Lael Van Keuren, and Zurin Villanueva.
Adapted from the 1985 book by Iris Rainer Dart and 1988 film starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey, Beaches follows outgoing Cee Cee and privileged Bertie over a lifetime of friendship. From meeting on the boardwalk as kids to becoming pen pals, roommates, romantic rivals, and more, their friendship survives all kinds of changes and hardships.
The stage adaptation has music by Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Mike Stoller, lyrics by Dart, and a book by Dart and Thom Thomas, developed in collaboration with David Austin.
Emmy winner and Tony nominee Lonny Price and Matt Cowart co-direct, and Jennifer Rias choreographs. Beaches on Broadway also has orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, music supervision by Joseph Thalken, music direction by Paul Staroba, scenic design by James Noone, costume design by Tracy Christensen, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Kai Harada, projection design by David Bengali, and wig, hair, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas.
