A high-level Bette Midler sighting
How serious is the Divine Miss M about the “divine” part of her moniker?
So serious, it seems, that the 60-year-old diva spent Easter weekend communing with her spirituality in the remote Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan, a country of fewer than 1 million inhabitants nestled high in the Himalayas between India and Tibet.
Lowdown’s Katherine Thomson was there, too, and passed within inches of a Midler look-alike while making the three-hour zigzag climb up the sheer face of the mountain — endless stairs with no railings and a 1,000-foot drop — on the way to Tiger’s Nest, a Buddhist monastery built into a cliff.

Mister D: This is the White House’s laughably funny take on Earth Day (written for kids). How many lies can you find? For more of their propoganda: Click Here

And from Inez Post on my other site, Veering Left:
The House passed the bill, Gasoline for American Security Act, on Friday to encourage the construction of more refineries in the United States. This bill waves the Clean Air Act and provides tax cuts for refineries and allows closed down military bases to be the breeding ground for building of the new facilities. The refineries in existence in the U.S. now are already 30 years old and have been operating under unsafe conditions to its employees as well as the neighboring communities. I would like to see those refineries meet certain standards of safety before we build more under the same conditions. If you have not thought about it, maybe you should, do you think you would feel differently if one was located next to the school your children go to, or in your backyard? You might, and maybe it is time our environmental problems start getting a little more attention.

Remember awhile back there was some story out that Bette and Josh Groban were going to do an Off Broadway play together…Prodigal Son???? Well, it did seem kind of weird, so I never gave it much thought…but it’s not happening.
Josh Groban’s manager, BRIAN AVNET, posted a message on the Josh Groban Forum stating that:
THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR JOSH TO PERFORM ON OR OFF BROADWAY IN ANY SHOW. WE ARE WORKING ON ALBUM #3 AND LOOKING FORWARD TO JOSH’S NEXT WORLD TOUR.
I HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON.

Mister D: Hope everyone who celebrates Easter has a fabulous holiday. If you don’t, then have a fabulous weekend. But many have asked me: “Mister D, Mister D, what is the story of Easter?” And so I googled it as anyone in their right mind would do and this is what I found:
The Story of EASTER:
Easter is a time of springtime festivals. In Christian countries Easter is celebrated as the religious holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God. But the celebrations of Easter have many customs and legends that are pagan in origin and have nothing to do with Christianity
