See this picture? That’s how feel now when I get home from work on Friday night…I’m tired, I’m worn out, the noise of the day is pounding in my head…and I reach out my fingers toward the keyboard…I’m so fitutzed I wish I were dead….SO…with that…my updates will start happening on Sunday nights instead of Friday nights.
However, I did go ahead and put up new songs….also, I’d like to point out that a lot of times I have links where the songwriters names are so you can see their lyrics sometime, but mostly I try to find links to their sites or something about them…so if you’d like to learn a little about the songwriters whom Miss M covers, please check the links once in awhile…you might find that you want to learn more about them…Anyway…these songs will stay up until next Sunday so I can coordinate all the updates then…thanks for your patience..,
Diverse upbringing helped turn Tomlin into legendary comedienne
By Donnie Snow

Historically, comedy’s ranks were about as hospitable for women as collegiate sports, without Title 9.
So what does it take to be one of America’s foremost comediennes?
“It helps that I do work that I get pleasure from,” said Lily Tomlin, calling during a respite from filming new episodes of NBC’s The West Wing. Her role as the President’s assistant won her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, another kudo for an actress whose mantel already teeters with trophies including six Emmys, a Tony and a Grammy.

Mister D: I must admit this looks a little cheesy (and so does he), but then again it could be great fun. I wonder if this is the same Elvis impersonator that presided over Bette and Martin’s nuptials???

The “King” is coming.

Dorian Baxter, better known for his moniker Elvis Priestly, will be conducting a special service and gospel concert as part of the National Winter Tribute Festival, from March 7 to March 9, at the Army Navy and Air Force (ANAF) Club in Barrie. The service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. For those wanting to renew their wedding vows, Baxter will perform the nuptials.
Darrell has put up a Sneak Preview of a new project entitled “Miss M Photo Shop”, so check it out: The Miss M PhotoShop

I have added two more sections for you to check out: “Miss M Trivia” and “Books and Magazines”…..Books and Magazines is noteworthy mostly because that is where I will be stockpiling interviews from Bette from over the years…including pictures…
Hot and cold
By Lesley Kennedy, Rocky Mountain News

NEW YORK – The forecast at Fashion Week was clear: Micro minis, cropped pants and bare shoulders look sunny for fall.
But the audience there to see 90-plus fashion collections was left to battle the cold while watching America’s top designers parade their wintry wares two weeks ago.
Rather than beat the shiver-inducing trends to the stores, the fashion set was busy staving off frostbite as they bundled up, trying to keep cozy as they scurried from show to show.

American Idol finalist Vanessa Olivarez sings with sass, but she’s better known for being told to “lose a few pounds” by judge Simon Cowell. TV Guide Online rang up the 21-year-old Latina singer — who says she only wears “a size 6 in dresses,” by the way — to ask her Seven Silly li’l questions. The aspiring Idol’s responses were colorful ones, to say the least! — Daniel R. Coleridge
TV Guide Online: Vanessa, have you considered hair colors other than pink to avoid comparisons to, um, that other pop idol, Pink?Vanessa: Um… I was thinking of purple. Or maybe teal, although I’m scared what that might come out looking like. But I want to look like the sea!

Mister D: Can’t say I agree with everything Mr. Boehlert says, but to be honest, I was surprised at the complacency and the somewhat “less than energetic” fare that was televised…maybe we’re all suffering from some type of post-traumatic fatique since the events of 9-11…and that effects us all…and maybe, just maybe, sometimes the “rebel” needs a night off…
Just pretend it will all go away
Flagging sales? War in Iraq? Dead concertgoers? “Whatever,” says a flaggng music industry hiding behind Norah Jones and Eminem at the big Grammys telecast.
