Kris Bowers Scoring Alyce Tzue’s & John Ripa’s ‘Steps’

This past week, Kris Bowers has been recording his score for the Netflix animated film Steps. Additionally, the film is directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa. It stars Ali Wong, Amanda Seyfried, Stephanie Hsu, Daniel Radcliffe, Nikki Glaser, and Bette Midler.
Moreover, the animated comedy centers on a misunderstood young woman blamed for hijacking the Royal Ball with a stolen wand. After turning her sister into a frog, she must team up with Cinderella and a troll to save realm.
Amy Poehler and Kim Lessing are producing the project for Paper Kite Productions. Riki Lindhome and Kate Miucci were announced to contribute songs and are among the executive producers. Additionally, Bowers is recording his score at Abbey Road Studios in London. Steps will premiere on November 20, 2026 on Netflix and may receive an awards-qualifying theatrical release.
Bowers also continues to score Netflix’s Bridgerton, which will return for a fifth season.
