The woody guthrie inspired me and many in my generation who later marched, protested, and died for basic human fairness.

He was a giant among us, and we could use him now.

On this day in 1967, woody guthrie passed away at the age of 55 due to complications from Huntington’s disease.

As we reflect on the profound impact he had on American music and social consciousness. We are reminded of preserving his spirit and message.
