Tid-Bettes: 10-20-2008

BetteHead Paul from the (Y)UK really wants to stress, and rightfully so, how well Miss M’s new CD, Jackpot – The Best Bette, has done in the charts over there. For the whole month that it has been released it has remained a staple in the Top 10. And, oh yes, he has the stats to prove it…

Here in the states Bette’s CD entered at number 66 and if it doesn’t pick up in sales, it will be off the charts this week. That’s why I encourage everyone to start buying in bulk to give as Christmas gifts to friends and relatives. Hell, I may even buy an extra few to give to trick or treaters who have the best costume. Why, I just can’t underestimate my brilliance. Can you? Anyway, thank you Paul for energizing the US Bette base… 🙂

Next up is Mihai, who refuses to respect my office and call me “Mister D” (just kidding Mihai). So in complete disrespect to moi here is what he wrote about his Vegas trip! 🙂 :

How are you ?

I came back from my 2 days Bette Marathon in Vegas. I guess it’s needless to say that it was absolutely amazing. I dont think there was much change in the show except for the jokes which were updated to what’s going on with the elections.

What I noticed, don’t know if someone has already told you or not, but the store has for sale the microphone that Bette used on the opening night, with the signature on it for $ 10,000 and the ukulele with signature for $ 3,000.

There were also a few posters with Bette’s signature for $200. Some other new items ( for me ) were a few postcards and small posters. I asked the lady there about big posters like Cher has and she said there were many requests for Bette posters and they will put some on sale sooner or later….

Mihai, who I must say is gorgeous….according to any lady or germ standards, also sent a few pics of some of the merchandise and marketing (Bette has finally made the side of a bus…the whole side…I’m getting all choked up about it or it could the the thought of the exhaust!)
