New Songs Are Up in the Jukebox: Hopeful Yet Paranoid. Lord, these themes have to stop…I don’t know whether they represent the song selections or the jeapordy categories swirling thru my head. Anyway…please check out the links to the writers of the songs if I have them.
New Songs are Up In Bootleg Betty Records: Remember this section features the songwriters or other performers doing songs we Betteheads associate with Ms. Midler. I’m so excited about this section because it gives me an opportunity to share with you the history and performances of those behind some of Bette’s works. So please check out the links, if I have them, and learn about these people while you are listening to their songs. This week this section features:
1. Say Goodbye To Hollywood
written and perfromed by: Billy Joel
2. Moses
written and performed by: Patti Griffin
3. Red
written and performed by: Sammy Hagar
4. Some People’s Lives
written and performed by: Janis Ian

Also of interest, our fave funnyman, and soon to be actor extroidinaire of the stage (“Hairspray”), Mister V, has informed us once again that Bette will be touring…it’s just the dates that keep moving around. The latest word is that the tour will start Oct. 9, 2003 in Detroit. I also found out on my own that she is penciled in for Atlanta in December…the closest she’ll get to moi!!!…anyway, everybody keep your fingers crossed. As always, Mister V is helping with the writing of the show, so I really have to thank him for keeping us updated…that man just has his hands in everything!!!! (keep it clean, folk:-))
Also thanks again to Lorine and Lacy for the wonderful pics from Maggie’s Garden. And I’m thanking Darrell ahead of time for a mag pic he sent me that I didn’t have…The Zoo. I’ll have that up in the scapbook under magazines. In the meantime visit Bette on the Boards for a trip down memory lane:
Bette on the Boards There’s also stuff to order there and petitions to sign…even Mr. Ertegun is interested in the petition…so show Bette the LOVE!!!
Okay, that’s enough for me…I’m going outside to practice Naked Gardening!!!! See ya’ll next week…
