Mary’s Celebrity Lunacy: Of Course, Bette Is Taken Out Of Context, As For Others…Some ARE Lunacy, BUT…

Mister D: I can think of far more neocons that we could take out of context as within, but I digress. Frankly, I don’t know how these people can even bitch about what celebrities have to say after the poor way this administration has handled almost every single thing they’ve tried to accomplish and failed. This is probably the worst time in history that I have ever witnessed since Nixon. I was such a naive young lad and believed everything the government doled out. And then Nixon came along. He destroyed everything I believed in, and I remember crying. I was so let down. On that day I was impregnated (well, somehow) with cynicism and distrust. I still try to hold on to my innocence and trust, but it is increasingly hard in times like these. My glasses are no longer rose colored, just a shade of blue, with a black trim around them. (my Bette reference for the day) 🙂 Dramatic? I can’t help it. It’s just me, but I’m working on becoming a drone. I haven’t too far too go! 🙂

Oh, by the way, this is the quote used for Bette:

“I got a letter from the Republican Party the other day. I wrote back, ‘Go f— yourself.’ George Bush is a fan of mine — he came to see me in the Seventies. His coke dealer brought him.” (An oh so obvious joke.)
