Add another big name to the cast of the Gloria Steinem biopic coming to Savannah.

Janelle Monae, who is fresh off receiving Grammy nominations for her album “Dirty Computer,” has joined the cast of the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Bette Midler, Julianna Moore and Alicia Vikander were already set to appear in the movie.

According to IMDb, the film is “based on feminist icon Gloria Steinem’s best selling memoir, My Life on the Road, telling the story of her itinerant childhood’s influence on her life as a writer, activist and organizer for women’s rights worldwide.” Julie Taymor, Tony Award winning director of “The Lion King” on Broadway, is set to direct the film with Moore starring as the adult Steinem and Vikander as a slightly younger version of the activist.

While her role in this movie is unknown at the time, Monae is known for her roles in “Moonlight” and “Hidden Figures” with her next appearance being “Welcome to Marwen,” which stars Steve Carell and is directed by Robert Zemeckis. She also voiced a role in Disney’s live-action remake of “Lady and the Tramp,” which filmed in Savannah this year.

A filming date for the movie in Savannah is still not set.
