Bette Midler to Guest Star on Finding Your Roots, Season 13

It’s lucky Season 13 for PBS’s historical documentary series Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr. It looks like the lineup of famous faces exploring their ancestries will be a star-studded one.

Fresh off the series’s latest Emmy nomination — for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special, its third consecutive nod in the category — the network has now announced key details about the next season of the Henry Louis Gates Jr.-hosted series, including the roster of famous faces who’ll appear on the show.

Here’s what we know so far.

When does Finding Your Roots Season 13 premiere?
The series will return to PBS on Tuesday, January 12, 2027.

Who will appear in Finding Your Roots Season 13?

Guests include Elizabeth Banks, Carrie Coon, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ilana Glazer, Nikki Glazer, and David Alan Grier.

Others are Ashley Judd, Randall Park, Wendell Pierce, Danny Ramirez, Natasha Rothwell, Allison Williams, and Noah Wyle.

Entertainment icons Bette Midler and Rita Moreno are also featured.

Additional guests will be announced later.

In a statement, Gates said of the news, “I’m so excited to share with the fans of Finding Your Roots the guests for our upcoming thirteenth season.
