BootLeg Betty

More Pics From Bette’s Appearance At “Fame Becomes Me”…And Then There’s Me!

A very lovely lady who always likes to remain anonymous sent in some great pics of Bette from her appearance in Martin Short’s “Fame Becomes Me.” You can view them in the Scrapbook 4 Betteheads: Click Here

I have my first minor league hit (well, it is to me) that I co-wrote with Ms. Judy Klass about the upcoming ammendment in Tennessee banning gay marriage. I just heard from the campaign manager, Randy Tarkington, that it’s quite popular in his office…good enough for me…LOL. Maybe I’ll get to play it at one of the upcoming benefits before November 7th…wouldn’t that be a hoot.

Okay…here it is:

Lyrics and Chords for those who want to sing -a- long!!!:

Vote No on Number One (Or I’ll Number Two on You)

G D C Em
Republicans in office tend to land us in deep doo-doo
Am Em
With deadly, costly wars of choice, and economic voodoo
C D G Em
But all they talk about are gays who want to say “I do”
Am D G
Vote no on Number One, or I’ll Number Two on you

G D C Em
They used to scare white voters with talk of Willie Horton
Am Em D
And now they scare with gays and say that issue’s most important
C D G Em
They’re anti-love, and all of us are who they want to screw
Am D G G7
Vote no on Number One, or I’ll Number Two on you

C D G
Strength, commitment and affection
D G G7
Are either there, or else a love ain’t real
C D G
So, marriage don’t need no “protection”
A D
Have faith in who you love and what you feel
C D G
Don’t take a dump on fidelity
D G G7
On those who build their dreams on solid ground
C D G Em
Don’t take a dump on romance and equality
A D D7
The dump you take today – may boomerang around

G D C Em
It’s true a small minority is so easy to scapegoat
Am Em D
But jobs are gone, the war drags on, and we’re all in the same boat
C D G Em
My marriage can’t affect yours, or weren’t your vows true?
Am D G Em
Vote no on Number One, or I’ll Number Two on you
C D G
Don’t wallow in the manure of fear and hatred
Am C D
And self-righteous, bigoted bashing, get a clue
Am D G
Vote no on Number One, or I’ll Number Two on you
