“One for My Baby (and One More for the Road)” — a torch?song showstopper that Bette revived during the Divine Miss Millennium Tour (1999–2000), after first making it legendary on Johnny Carson’s penultimate Tonight Show in 1992.
It later appeared on Experience the Divine: Greatest Hits (1993), where it was the one new recording added to the compilation.

During the Divine Miss Millennium concerts, Bette used “One for My Baby” as one of her moody, intimate torch?song moments — a contrast to the camp, comedy, and big?band numbers that defined the rest of the show.
The tour leaned heavily on nostalgia, legacy, and her “Divine Miss M” persona, so reviving this number made perfect emotional sense.

Her Emmy-winning performance on Carson’s show cemented it as one of her most beloved interpretations.

It’s one of the few standards she fully “claimed” as her own, the way she did with “The Rose” or “Wind Beneath My Wings.”
