NEW YORK, Nov. 10, /PRNewswire/ — From contemporary Country Music’s biggest chart toppers, to the classic “Wall of Sound” hits of the 1960s, Legacy Recordings takes the stress out of holiday shopping with its wide range of Christmas-themed compact discs and downloads. All titles are available now.
Following the multi-platinum NOW Christmas series of double CDs and the Country chart-topping NOW That’s What I Call Country releases, comes NOW That’s What I Call A Country Christmas. For the first time ever, this double-disc set includes country greats like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley alongside current artists like Kenny Chesney and George Strait, all singing their favorite Christmas songs. Featured artists include Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Kellie Pickler, George Strait, Alabama, Sugarland, Elvis Presley with Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, and many more.
The “Wall Of Sound” production style that Phil Spector developed in New York City in 1961, and perfected at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood beginning in 1962, reached its divine apotheosis on 1963’s A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector – often cited as Beach Boy Brian Wilson’s favorite album of all time. The album, now remastered from its original mono mixes, comprises 13 yule gems that show off the talents of his artist roster. Tracks include “White Christmas” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Rock And Roll Hall of Fame 2010 nominee Darlene Love, “Frosty the Snowman” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” by the Ronettes, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” by the Crystals, “The Bells of St. Mary” and “Here Comes Santa Claus” by Bob B. Soxx and The Blue Jeans, and five more.
Combining classic holiday music with vibrant imagery, Legacy’s new series of Yule Log DVDs would warm the heart of even Scrooge. Playable through any DVD player or computer screen, each Yule Log features a full holiday album which can be played over your choice of three festive scenes – snowy mountain cabin, burning yule log, or Christmas tree. The 17 individually-priced Yule Logs include Brooks and Dunn’s It Won’t Be Christmas Without You; Mariah Carey‘s Merry Christmas; Johnny Cash’s Christmas With Johnny Cash; Kenny Chesney’s All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan; John Denver’s Rocky Mountain Christmas; Celine Dion’s These Are Special Times; Jose Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad; Kenny G’s The Greatest Holiday Classics; Whitney Houston’s One Wish: The Holiday Album; Il Divo’s The Christmas Collection; Johnny Mathis’ A 50th Anniversary Christmas; Martina McBride’s White Christmas; Bette Midler‘s Cool Yule; Brad Paisley’s Brad Paisley Christmas; Andy Williams’ The Andy Williams Christmas Album; Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, and Luciano Pavarotti’s The Three Tenors Christmas; and Traditional Christmas by various artists.

I went to the Legacy Recordings website, and oddly enough, you are able to hear the entire songs of the artists listed, instead of just 30 second clip(s).
I think I’ll save this website, as sometimes the first 30 seconds of a song is taken up by intro music, or before a song really gets started.
I’m impressed!
I found the Cool Yule DVD at Wal-Mart… couldn’t pass it up.
Nothing spectactular. I mean the CD is amazing, of course, but it’s just set to 3 diffent holiday scenes that you can choose from.
I know…I had to get it anyway, too….
