Non-Union Improv Actor Positions

Seeking Non-Union Actors with Strong Improv Skills for School Assembly Program.

Bette Midler’s non-profit New York Restoration Project is seeking 3 male and 3 female actors in their 20’s to present school assemblies promoting MillionTreesNYC ”“ an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees in NYC. Non-union actors must have strong improvisational skills and experience with children’s and/or educational theater.

Required Qualifications

”¢ The acting positions are part-time in nature (2 to 3 partial days per week) ”“ requires individuals with flexible daytime schedules.
Ӣ Actors will present the hour-long assemblies at schools across the five-boroughs and in teams of two, along with the support of an NYRP staff member. Transportation from Manhattan to schools will be provided by NYRP. Each actor will present approximately 10 assemblies in March to May period, and again in October to December.
Ӣ Actors will be paid $200 per assembly which covers 4 to 5 hours.
Ӣ Actors will be required to assist NYRP staff in the transportation and set-up of props and scenery.
