Bette Midler is another singer with plans for a life-and-times movie about a g l a m or
q uee n.  She w a n ts to do the l i fe of ’30s and ’40s bandleader Ina Ray Hutton, best known – apart from her music – f o r changing gowns between sets.
She sang with the Tommy Dorsey band and had several incarnations of her own group. Walt Disney Studio is looking at the project. But no Mickey Mouse venture, this one.
