CBS This Morning, Continental Baths, Winifred flies, HP2’s Working Title, And Sophie Has The Lead In Two Upcoming Movies
Bette Midler will be on CBS This Morning, Thursday, December 16, sometime between 7 am – 9 am. I think we can easily guess what will be talked about.
December 12 The Continental Baths enjoy a legendary place in LGBTIQ+ history. Bette Midler gave birth poolside to the Divine Miss M. Articles about her and Barry Manilow religiously chronicle their beginnings at the venue. But scores of other big-name entertainers also performed at the Continental Baths. Sarah Vaughan, The Pointer Sisters, Gloria Gaynor, Peter Allen, The Andrews Sisters… The list on the Continental Baths Wikipedia page is gobsmacking. On a lighter note, Bette detested the loud, gushing waterfall that The Baths would never turn off during her performances.
Here’s a bit of a sneak peek at the upcoming ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ filming thanks to Facebook user John Anthony Jr. The video clip shows Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson and Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson taking flight. Talk about a thrill. And all of you who begged for this sequel, at least stop and give Ms, Midler her due at 76 getting all wired up to fly, From what I remember, it’s fun, but it also hurts. So I want her to get extra kudos and thanks.
Witches Gonna Fly
As I mentioned before there have been so many leaks on this movie, it seems to me all the fun and mystery is being taken away from us, so I have held back on printing everything. But don’t get me wrong, I was the exact same way when I was younger, but in the end, I found out it ruined a lot. But I can just imagine what you’re saying about me, Well fuck you, too.! Cause from what I hear, none of you are getting much anyway. lol Anyway, to try to keep the sets all under wraps, it looks like the working title of the movie is Black Flame instead of Hocus Pocus 2, as you can witness on Winnie’s dressing room door, and it’s the same as Sarah’s and Mary’s. I’m not sure who they were trying to fool, but….it ain’t working.
Witches Need Privacy Too
Bette’s Daughter, Sophie von Haselberg, Upcoming Projects
It looks like the International Film Festival Rotterdam will be held online for the 2nd year in a row due to the C-word. As part of a focus on US writer-director Amanda Kramer, IFFR will be holding the world premiere of Kramer’s new feature, Give Me Pity, (a feature musical), starring Sophie von Haselberg (Bette Midler’s daughter), and a dog called Shelley Long. This is about a young performer giving the show of her life in a VHS-style TV-special disco dream.
Eight Kramer films in all will show as part of the Focus
Sophie von Haselberg (Halston), Colton Haynes (Arrow), Javier Muñoz (Broadway’s Hamilton), Jill Kargman (Odd Mom Out) and Marisa Ryan (Wet Hot American Summer) have signed on to star in Love…Reconsidered, an indie comedy, which is currently in production in New York. The film directed by Full Frontal with Samantha Bee‘s managing digital producer Carol Hartsell centers on Ruby (Von Haselberg), a 30-year-old New Yorker whose life is suddenly transplanted to the Hamptons after a chance meeting with a wealthy consignment store owner.
