Spring Picnic will celebrate the groundbreaking for a new education facility at Sherman Creek Park. Join us as we unveil several proposed designs, and enjoy a beautiful evening gala on the Harlem River. Music, fabulous food, and libations will round out the festivities. This exciting new project, supported by The Thompson Family Foundation, will complete 17 years of transforming a neglected stretch of the Harlem River waterfront from a hazardous dumping ground into a stunning urban park. The approximately two acre waterfront site of the new Education Pavilion is the last unreclaimed and inaccessible portion of the park. Thanks to the design by our very own Trustee, David Rockwell, the Education Pavilion will serve as a center for citywide education programs for both children and adults.
