FILMING came to an abrupt halt Wednesday morning on the Queens set of “The Stepford Wives” remake. “The producers announced that director Frank Oz is ill,” unit publicist Marsha Robertson told PAGE SIX, declining to give any further details. “We’re just on hold, going day to day until we hear further.” The lull in production leaves “Stepford stars” Nicole Kidman, Bette Midler, Matthew Broderick, Christopher Walken, Faith Hill and Glenn Close cooling their heels until further notice.
