Updates: 04-20-03: Happy Easter

Hey BetteHeads and Sufferers of CWS!!!! If you don’t know what that means, then you ain’t been keeping up with Bootleg Betty…

New Poll is Up: I have a new system where you can see the results of previous polls. Anyway, check out the the Bette Polls and Enter the Voting Booth!!! It’s adorable….but I will let you know that you determined Steve Martin and Robin Williams (tied) to be Bette’s leading man in a movie…and I am glad, becuase I love them both…the new poll let’s you choose which actress you’d like to see Bette work with….should be fun….

And don’t forget Bette’s tour this Fall is still a “go”. Supposedly, it starts out in Detroit, October 9th (thanks, Mister V); one source told me Atlanta is scheduled in December; and a post I made today from the Courant newspaper stated that Christopher Ashley, who scored with the revival of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and “The Rocky Horror Show,” is now working on Bette’s fall concert tour. The only thing is that the tour schedule seems to be in fluid mode with dates and states in constant flux….but it will happen….or else I’m dead:-(

New Music is up in the JukeBox…I have eschewed the themes thing. If anybody really misses those weird ass phrases I came up with, then please write me and I’ll diagnose your problem….for free:-)

The Songwriters and Performers section has some great music in it:

1. Hello In There
written and performed by:
John Prine

2. In These Shoes
written and performed by:
Kirsty MacColl

3. Boxing
written and performed by:
Ben Folds

4. Superstar
written by:Bramlett/Russell
performed: Bonnie Bramlett

The latter performance is a killer; it’s the first time Ms. Bramlett recorded this song and she’s been around since the days of Janis. I’m a big fan of hers since the Delaney and Bonnie days and tickled pink that she has made a brand new album “I’m Still The Same”…I recommend everyone buy it. The lady’s had a rough life and she’s turned it around. Currently, she has just moved to Nashville…isn’t everybody?

Check out Bette Midler’s Roses for new screensaver and wallpapers: Bette Midler’s Roses This is run by Bruno from Brazil who’s trying to get the word out about the divine Miss M there….support the new GLOBAL VILLAGE!!!!

Two New articles are up in the “Books and Articles” Section…

Darrell has helped me immensely with Mr. V’s page…at least I have a starting point, so I hope to have something good coming to you in the near future…all I ask for is patience:-)

As always, please check out my buddy Darrell’s Bette on the Boards for a great history of the On Stage years and more, more, more: Bette on the Boards

That’s all for now I think…Hope everyone had a grand Holiday and Great Weekend!!! Now…Get back to WORK!!!

Love, Mister D
