Only 13, but singing the blues
SHE signed a record deal with Sony at just 12 years old.
Now 13, Natasha Quaresma is recording her first album and has been tipped as one to watch. The Melbourne teenager said her parents’ record collection inspired her. “I started listening to Bette Midler, which is when I first wanted to sing,” she said.
But singing is not her only ambition. “I want to be an actress and a dancer as well, and get a degree in Egyptology,” she said.
Though Natasha has started recording her first album, she is still finding suitable songs for her age and voice. Her album is likely to be released next year.
