Never in my life have I paid as much as I did to attend a political rally/gay convention but that is exactly what occurred Thursday night when my husband and I attended the Bette Midler concert.
It was not much of a concert as she did more talking than singing. Not to undermine her talent, but I think it would have been nicer with fewer four-letter words. That, combined with the uncomfortable seating at the American Airline Center, helped us to decide to go home at the intermission.
I was shocked that someone with so much talent could put on such a lousy show.
