Immediately after Kranks wraps, Disney wants him to shoot The Shaggy Dog. (Allen co-wrote the script and has already tried on his Border collie fur.) He’s then scheduled to team with Bette Midler on the door-to-door cosmetics comedy In the Pink before starting on The Santa Clause 3 in January for a Christmas ’05 release.
“The concept,” Allen says, “is ‘What if Santa Claus didn’t exist?’ “
