Jenkintown’s Ed Condran is one of the joke providers in Bette Midler’s act, which comes to the Wachovia Center tomorrow night. Condran, a freelance entertainment writer, says he hooked up with Midler’s head writer, Eric Kornfeld, after he made her laugh while interviewing her in January. It’s not certain which Condran lines will pass Midler’s lips on a given night, but in a recent show at the Continental Airlines Arena in North Jersey, she said: “The Devils are moving to Newark. The Nets are going to Brooklyn. The Jets are talking about relocating to Manhattan. Everyone is moving out of here but Jimmy Hoffa.”
