When I think back to the many events after 9/11 this is the one that stands strong in my memory.
From the time Bette walked on stage and throughout her performance of WBMW, she had the crowd at a place where no one else could take them.
I’ve saved this pic and have her performance recorded (somewhere).
Now, listening to the many stories of 9/11 on NPR, I constantly think of Bette & how she reached everyone watching that day – it still brings tears to my eyes.
