Bette Midler is hot, hot, HOT in the flicks today, but not so at the beginning of the ’80s. Now that several hit movies have given Midler power and prestige, she can finally tell the world about the time her world collapsed after the appropriately titled film, inxed.
“I had a nervous breakdown,” confesses the Divine Miss M. “It’s a horrible thing to lose faith in oneself – a killer. I sat home crying, sleeping, and spent plenty of time getting drunk on Courvoiseur. Finally, I went to a therapist and learned I wasn’t to blame, that my feelings of persecution were incorrect. He told me to get busy.”
Saaaaaaay, there’s, a movie in this somewhere.
